By formalizing e-waste management, we address subgoals for shifting to sustainable production patterns and fostering an innovation-driven industry.
What we do:
Operate Hayah+ take-back points to solve the subgoal of reducing pollution and waste, ensuring hazardous materials are diverted from the environment and back into the economy (Goal 5).
Partner with licensed recyclers to track devices, fulfilling Goal 4 by integrating digital tracking and data-driven knowledge to modernize and stimulate the recycling ecosystem.
Share annual progress updates, upholding the vision’s Governance enabler by providing the transparent monitoring and performance data essential for sustainable development.
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption & Production
We help customers use products responsibly and reduce waste.
What we do:
Safely recycle hazardous components like batteries and PCBs.
Offer repairs and spare parts to extend device life.
Track and report take-back and recycling metrics.
SDG 13 – Climate Action
We take steps to reduce our carbon footprint.
What we do:
Use energy-efficient processes and renewable energy where possible.
Design lighter packaging and longer-lasting products.
Measure and reduce emissions from production, logistics, and device lifecycle.
SDG 14 – Life Below Water
Pyratec helps protect the Red Sea by reducing pollution at its source.
What we do:
- Prevent any risk of e-waste leakage into Red Sea coastlines by routing all Hayah+ returns into certified recycling streams with full device tracking.
- Use recyclable, low-fragmentation packaging to limit plastic waste that could enter marine environments.
- Reduce shipment frequency and material use across our supply chain, cutting the indirect waste and microplastic generation that can reach coastal ecosystems.
